School Closure

Eagle Family,

Unfortunately this round of COVID has been impactful on our staff. Due to staffing issues at the campuses, I am canceling school for Thursday (1-13) and Friday(1-14). Monday is a scheduled holiday for students. We will resume all class/activity on Tuesday, January 18th. At this time, I am allowing all FISD extracurricular activities to continue. There could be changes (dates, locations, etc.) so look for communications if necessary. Service Solutions will be deep cleaning the campuses/district over the next few days.  We will continue a normal day and release at 3:25 this afternoon.vWe have a few days banked, so we will not have to make these 2 days up; however, we have been notified by TEA that waivers will not be granted for missed days this year. If we continue to have sickness issues or bad weather closures, we will be responsible at some point for making up missed days.
