Fairfield ISD is getting ready to welcome its newest Eagles.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration for the 2026 to 2027 school year is coming up at Fairfield Elementary. Families with children who will be starting school next year are invited to attend one of the upcoming Signing Day registration events.

Registration will be held on the following dates:

Wednesday, April 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Children enrolling in Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Children enrolling in Pre-K must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026, and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:

Unable to speak or comprehend the English language
Educationally disadvantaged and qualifies for free or reduced lunch
Homeless
Child of an active duty U.S. military member
Child of a peace officer, EMT, or firefighter who received the Star of Texas Award
Has been or is currently in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services

Parents should bring the following items to registration:

Certified birth certificate
Social Security card
Immunization record
Proof of residency such as a utility bill
Parent driver’s license
Pre-K qualifying documents, if applicable

Please note that the footprint birth certificate from the hospital is not an official document. Families needing an official copy may order a certified birth certificate for their child through Texas.gov.
