The last official registration date for Pre-K and Kindergarten for the 2026 to 2027 school year will be Thursday, June 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration will be held in the Fairfield Elementary cafeteria.

Due to construction, families should enter through the bus loop.

Children enrolling in Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Children enrolling in Pre-K must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026, and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:

• Unable to speak or comprehend the English language
• Educationally disadvantaged and qualifies for free or reduced lunch
• Homeless
• Child of an active duty U.S. military member
• Child of a peace officer, EMT, or firefighter who received the Star of Texas Award
• Has been or is currently in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services

Parents should bring the following items to registration:

• Certified birth certificate
• Social Security card
• Immunization record
• Proof of residency such as a utility bill
• Parent driver’s license
• Pre-K qualifying documents, if applicable

Please note that the footprint birth certificate from the hospital is not an official document. Families needing an official copy may order a certified birth certificate for their child through Texas.gov.
