- HISTORY –
The Fairfield ISD Band was created on August 28, 1934, the first band having only 32 members. In 1941, the first marching band program was organized and "Our Director March" was played as the school song, the same 'fight song' that the band uses today when the football team scores. A.C. Hart led a period of stability and building from 1949 to 1956.

Jazz Band has been present in Fairfield at least since the 80’s but only as a specialty on Christmas Concerts.
It wasn’t until 2004 that the Jazz band became a regularly meeting ensemble usually once a week.
Starting in the 2023 school year Jazz band became a class bringing the group into a new era
where jazz students could spend more time honing their craft and learning more about jazz.
Jazz Studies – Full band, small group, rock, standards, swing, latin, funk.
Community Outreach
While it may be difficult to bring the full marching band around town, it is considerably easier to bring the jazz band to play.

The Fairfield Band Boosters are here to help support the Grand Band from Eaglesand.
We help raise funds for various trips and events.Band Boosters are also needed to assist at various concerts, contests and football games.
We also have a lot of fun!
Booster meetings are every 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Band Hall.
Yearly dues are only $5.00 per person.
