Fairfield ISD is committed to recruiting, supporting, and retaining high quality teachers who make a difference for students.

Fairfield ISD is fully approved by the Texas Education Agency, allowing the district to designate and reward outstanding teachers through TIA.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment, or TIA, gives outstanding teachers a pathway to earn additional compensation while continuing to serve students in the classroom. TIA was established by the state of Texas to help districts recognize and reward highly effective teachers.

Through an approved local designation system, districts may identify eligible teachers for Recognized, Exemplary, or Master designations based on student growth and classroom observation. Teachers with active National Board Certification may also be eligible for a Recognized designation.

TIA is funded by the state of Texas and is contingent on state funding. Allotment amounts are based on the teacher’s designation level and the campus where the teacher is employed.
